Students from the Division of Global Sport Studies at Korea University Sejong Campus achieved outstanding results with remarkable performances at the 9th Asian Winter Games held in Harbin, China.

△ Jang Yujin from the Division of Global Sport Studies (the first Korean female athlete to win a bronze medal in the women's halfpipe freestyle skiing).

 

Kim Gilli from the Division of Global Sport Studies won gold medals in the 2000m mixed relay and the women's 1500m finals in short track speed skating, significantly contributing to the success of the Korean national team. Jang Yujin, also from the Division of Global Sport Studies, became the first Korean female athlete to win a bronze medal in the women's halfpipe freestyle skiing event. Kim Minsun won a gold medal in the women's 500m speed skating event at the oval, becoming the first Korean athlete to achieve this feat.

Jang Sungwoo from the Division of Global Sport Studies won a gold medal in the men's 1000m short track speed skating event. Seo Whimin secured a bronze medal in the women's 1000m speed skating event, showcasing the strength of the Korean national team. Additionally, Cha Junhwan, a member of the national figure skating team, made history by becoming the first Korean male singles skater to win a gold medal at the Asian Winter Games, setting a new milestone for Korean men's figure skating.
