On February 28, Korea University Sejong Campus and the Department of Culture Contents, in partnership with the Association of Humanities Contents, successfully hosted the Spring Academic Conference, the ‘Young Brain Festival,’ at the Hana Square Auditorium. The conference served as a platform for emerging researchers in the field of cultural content to share their research findings and foster academic exchange.

 

The event featured a poster exhibition showcasing next-generation scholars' research in the cultural content field. Researchers personally presented their findings, engaging in in-depth academic discussions. Participants exchanged a diverse range of research topics, exploring new possibilities in cultural content. Notably, the poster evaluation process utilized QR codes, allowing not only the designated judges but also fellow researchers to participate in the assessment, thereby fostering a more open and collaborative review environment.

 

In the latter part of the conference, a comprehensive discussion was held under the theme of ‘The Future of Culture Contents and Culture Content Studies.’ Based on pre-submitted poster manuscripts, various topics were examined, including the expansion of cultural content platforms, the regional and global dimensions of cultural content, the evolution of storytelling and changes in content consumption, cultural content and identity, accessibility and participation in content, cultural representation in media and its societal implications, as well as policy directions and sustainability.

 

Professor Ahn Namil of Culture Contents stated, “‘Young Brain’ is a unique academic event of the Association of Humanities Contents, and I plan to focus on its further development during my tenure. This festival is not just a platform for research presentations but also an opportunity to share new ideas and expand the boundaries of knowledge.
