△ Professor Lee Jaewoo, Department of Electronic and Information Engineering

 

 

On December 27 2024, Professor Lee Jaewoo from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at Korea University Sejong Campus was awarded the Minister of Education’s Commendation at the ‘2024 Advanced Industry Specialization University Financial Support Program Award Ceremony’. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT).

 

Professor Lee was recognized for his contributions to building a foundation for semiconductor human resource development. He has been actively involved as the Deputy Director of the Semiconductor Specialization University Support Project, which Korea University Sejong Campus won in 2023 under its project for single type.

 

The award ceremony was part of the main events of ‘2024 Specialization Uni Week.’ Uni Week was organized to inspire educational enthusiasm and strengthen job competencies among students participating in the Semiconductor Specialization University Support Project. Various programs, including corporate job briefings, scholar lectures, the Banban concert, and mentoring zones, were held during the event.

 

Professor Lee stated, "This is the result of everyone's joint efforts. I will continue to do my best for the development of the domestic semiconductor industry and for fostering outstanding human resources."
