Discussion on Industrialization Strategies Focusing on Smart Well-Aging and Sleep Improvement
On February 9, the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics at Korea University Sejong Campus hosted the ‘Biohealth Leading Industrialization Industry-University-Research Forum II’ at Accelerator and ICT Building. This forum followed the first session hosted on December 19, 2024 and focused on the theme of ‘Smart Well-Aging and Industrialization Strategies Centered on Sleep Improvement.’ The event brought together industry-university-research experts and university members to discuss various collaborative approaches for regional innovation and industrialization in the sleep industry.
The forum was attended by KTC Sleep Industry Promotion Center Director Kim Jaehwan, SAIR EDU CEO Choi Bongjun, Professor Baek Seungpil from the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, as well as representatives from local smart biohealth companies, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
Director Kim delivered a keynote speech on ‘Verification and Safety Evaluation of Sleep Products,’ introducing the latest research and development achievements and their industrial applications. CEO Choi presented key cases on ‘Regional Sleep Survey and Development of Sleep Improvement Items.’ Additionally, Professor Baek introduced new sleep improvement strategies and regional innovation industrialization strategies with a presentation titled ‘Living Lab for Sleep Improvement Based on Biological Clock Regulation.’
The event was jointly organized by the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics at Korea University Sejong Campus and the Biological Clock-based Anti-Aging Convergence Regional-Leading Research Center (BCA2-RLRC), with support from the Regional University Revitalization Project.
