Jang Yujin, a student from Korea University Sejong Campus, secured a bronze medal in the women’s freestyle ski halfpipe event at the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games.

On February 8, in the final held at Yabuli Ski Resort in China, Jang scored 85 points, becoming the first athlete from the Korean delegation to win a medal in a snow event at this year’s competition. Additionally, she made history as the first Korean female athlete to win a medal in the freestyle skiing event at the Asian Winter Games.

Jang previously represented South Korea at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics Winter Games and the Beijing 2022 Olympics Winter Games and has consistently excelled on the international stage, finishing fifth at the 2019-20 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.

In January 2024, she became the first Korean athlete to receive an official invitation to compete in the Ski Superpipe event at the X Games Aspen 2024 in Colorado, USA. This achievement is recognized as a historic milestone in Korean skiing.

Jang stated, "A week before the competition, I suffered severe injuries to my face and hip, but overcoming those challenges to win the first-ever medal in women’s freestyle ski halfpipe holds great significance for me. I will continue to train hard and showcase my full potential on even bigger stages in the future."
